Michael Baumbruck is an international, award-winning commercial director represented by Savage.
He has directed documents and multimedia projects since he completed his studies at the renowned Prague film academy, followed by his departure to the USA where he was involved as a director or DOP on various assignments for the Smithsonian Institution, Congress Library and National Book Awards to name a few. He lived in Paris and later in New York where he started his career in commercials with films for Christian Dior. He returned back to Europe in the early 90s.
Since 1992 he has focused on shooting commercials for multinational companies and clients. He has got a few hundred spots in his portfolio, for clients as O2, T-Mobile, Skoda or Wrigley. Many of his films have received prestigious international awards.
He loves to light and shoot his own spots but he also works often with other DOP’s on selected projects. His fresh ideas and images seem to lack boundaries and can be easily introduced in different cultures.
